Bharat Parade 2025: Celebrating 79 Years of India’s Freedom in the Heart of Berlin
On 16 August 2025, Berlin will come alive with the colors, rhythms, and spirit of India as the Bharat Parade 2025 marks 79 years of India’s Independence.
The parade will begin at the iconic Brandenburg Tor and make its way through the city, ending at the Sanchi Stupa near Museum Island — a symbolic journey from one historical landmark to another, uniting the community in remembrance and joy.
We warmly invite Indians and German friends of India from across Germany to join this unforgettable celebration. Together, let’s honor our shared history, celebrate freedom, and create memories that will last for years to come.

Important Information for Participants
To make sure everyone enjoys the day safely and comfortably, please keep these points in mind:
Stay Hydrated – August in Berlin can be warm. Bring your own water bottle to stay refreshed throughout the event. Limited water will be available on-site.
Wear Traditional Attire – If possible, dress in traditional Indian clothing to enhance the festive spirit and create a beautiful, colorful atmosphere.
Protect Yourself from the Sun – Bring hats or caps and apply sunscreen to protect yourself. Comfort and well-being come first.
Look Out for Each Other – Be mindful of elderly attendees and children who may need extra assistance. If someone needs help, approach the nearest volunteer immediately.
