The initiative was unveiled in the presence of Hon’ble Minister of Industry Mr. Uday Samant, the Consul General of India in Frankfurt, MIDC leadership, and key policymakers from the Government of Maharashtra.

Consul General Mr. Mubarak Bawa Syed’s presence lent great significance to the occasion. His active engagement and continued encouragement of diaspora-led initiatives have played a key role in reinforcing Indo-German ties across business, culture, and innovation. The event was a testament to the Consulate’s commitment to facilitating global connections that benefit both nations.

Maharashtra Business Day brought together over 600 Indo-German professionals, industrialists, government officials, VIP delegates, and entrepreneurs, marking a significant moment of cross-border collaboration and celebration. Attendees traveled from across the globe—including the USA, UK, India, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland, and Sweden—underscoring the widespread influence and unity of the Indian diaspora in Europe and beyond.

The launch of the Maharashtra Europe Business Forum (MEBF) added further weight to the occasion, establishing a platform that connects professionals and entrepreneurs from Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Poland, Austria, and France. MEBF sets the stage for a cohesive Indo-European network focused on sustainable economic partnerships, strategic investment dialogues, and diaspora-driven development.

As Maharashtra progresses toward becoming a $1 trillion economy, contributions through local employment, industrial investment, and world-class products are increasingly vital. The award represents not just personal success but a larger responsibility and strengthened faith in the power of diaspora contributions.

“This award is not just mine—it belongs to every young man from rural India who dreams with determination. Innovation, discipline, and hard work are universal languages,”
Bharat Gite, receiving a standing ovation.
