• Nativity certificate
• Birth certificate issued in India, in certain cases
Where passport or nativity documents are unavailable, an Indian birth certificate may be considered on a case by case basis, particularly for persons born before 1972.
- Proof of Relationship

- International Birth Certificate

The birth certificate should be apostilled or attested by the CPV Division of the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi.
If Issued in Germany

If Issued in Another Country

Birth certificates apostilled by member countries of the Hague Convention generally do not require additional attestation from the concerned Indian Mission.

A copy of the current foreign passport is required. The original passport must also be presented for verification.

• Marriage certificate
• Spouse’s passport
- Undertaking Regarding Indian Passport
